Networking for Neuroscientists – Geoffrey Aguirre & Christopher Pierce

Networking is an essential skill for scientists that can improve your
visibility and ultimately generate job offers and opportunities for
collaboration. In this workshop, we’ll discuss how to build and
maintain your professional network, including strategies for crafting
the perfect “elevator pitch”. We highly recommend this workshop for
anyone who hopes to be gainfully employed in the future!

Teaching Prep: From the Lesson Plan to the Final Exam – 
Mikey Nusbaum & Yale Cohen
Thursday, March 28th, 3:30 PM
NGG faculty members Drs. Mikey Nusbaum and Yale Cohen will share
insight into course preparation at both the undergraduate and graduate
level. Conversation may raise, but is certainly not limited to, topics
such as designing a curriculum, organizing lesson plans, writing exam
questions, answering questions from students, and presenting
alternatives to exams. Your input will be critical to guiding
discussion!


Landing a Job in Academia: A Panel of Faculty from Liberal Arts Institutions and Larger Research-Based Universities

Monday, April 22nd, 3:30 PM

A panel of 4 faculty from Muhlenberg, Villanova, and Penn will compare
and contrast their job experiences as faculty at these institutions.
Questions from the audience are welcome and encouraged! This will help
you better assess your job options and allow you to ask any burning
questions you may have.
