While we encourage you to participate in the various professional development activities run by NGG folk, such activities are by no means the only ones available to our graduate students! NGG students have worked with other professional development groups, as well, both within and external to the University. Below, you can find a shortlist of groups with which various members of our student body have some (or much!) experience.
Emerging Leaders in Science and Society. In the spring of 2013, Penn was chosen as an official, founding partner campus for the ELISS program: a brand-new Science & Policy initiative run through the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). If you have a passion for creating science policy and are interested in finding creative, interdisciplinary solutions to modern policy problems – then be on the lookout for applications to next year’s class.
